Our latest Mavely creator meetup took us to Austin, Texas, where we had a blast connecting, creating, and celebrating the magic of influencer entrepreneurship! Hosted at the cozy and welcoming Korean-American fusion restaurant Oseyo, the evening was all about bringing creators together to learn, inspire, and grow. With a DIY charm bracelet station, a Q&A with entrepreneur Katelyn Nassar, and our signature Mavely gift bags packed with goodies from our awesome brand partners, the event was all about connecting creators, sharing insights, and celebrating the vibrant, creative energy of the Austin community.
The Red Carpet Treatment
To kick things off, our Austin creators got the star treatment they deserve with red carpet-style interviews by Mavely’s Marketing Specialist Kayla Monis. We had a blast hearing their stories and getting to know a little bit about each influencer’s unique style and personality. Samantha Rose, a health and wellness-focused blogger, shared that her favorite part of being a content creator is meeting new people, whether they’re followers or fellow creators, and mentioned brands like Tarte, La Croix, Express, and Free People as her dream collaborations.
Dallas-based fashion and lifestyle influencer Chaya Wright loves the freedom of creating aspirational content and debunked a common misconception, saying, “It’s not easy to create content; it takes effort and time.” She added that her favorite thing about Mavely is being able to earn while showcasing her style and sharing the products she loves.
Fashion influencer Nizzy Mac revealed her passion for the editing process, describing how she transforms her content into something unique. She emphasized that content creation isn’t all “free stuff” but a full-time commitment, advising new creators to “just post” and “share your content and links.”
Lifestyle and foodie content creator Kylee Kirby hinted at a new direction for her channel, with plans to expand from Austin’s restaurant and local scene to fashion and beauty content. These creators are making waves, and we’re thrilled to support their journey!
Creating Connections (and Charm Bracelets!)
The evening kicked off with a warm welcome from the Mavely team, who set the tone for a relaxed and inviting night. The atmosphere was perfect for sparking new connections and catching up with fellow Mavely creators.
One hotspot all evening was our unique DIY charm bracelet station, where creators could design their own piece to take home. This hands-on activity was a hit, giving everyone a chance to relax, chat, and let their creativity shine.
Entrepreneurial Inspiration with Katelyn Nassar
The highlight of the night was an interview with Katelyn Nassar, the co-founder of @atx.girls, @klearcut.media, and @nassar.media. With her experience in founding multiple successful businesses, Katelyn shared insights on entrepreneurship, building a personal brand, and harnessing the power of social media. She encouraged everyone to lean into their strengths and take control of their online presence to fuel both personal and professional growth.
Katelyn’s message? Success in content creation and business takes hard work, a strong sense of identity, and the courage to adapt as you go. Her inspiring journey from entrepreneur to social media strategist gave creators actionable tips and plenty of motivation to take their own brands to the next level.
Gifts, Eats, and Extra Treats
As a thank-you to our wonderful Austin influencers, each attendee left our creator meetup with a curated gift bag packed with Mavely swag and popular treats from brands like Stanley, ColourPop, Pura Vida, and inKind. These goodies were handpicked by our generous brand partners to help our creators enjoy a little bit of luxury while staying inspired!
When it came to food, Oseyo didn’t disappoint. Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of dinner options, followed by a delightful dessert selection to round out the night. The Austin foodie scene lived up to its reputation, providing the perfect backdrop for an evening of laughs and connections.
A Night to Remember
By the end of the night, Austin influencers left our creator meetup with more than just swag bags and charm bracelets—they walked away with new friendships, fresh ideas, and a renewed excitement for the future. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us in Austin, and a special thank-you to Katelyn for sharing her expertise and inspiration. These events are more than just creator meetups—they’re about building a supportive community, sparking creativity, and inspiring each other to achieve more.
