Mavely Meetups Kick off in Chicago!

Last week, we hosted the first of what is sure to be many Mavely Meetup events, right in our hometown of Chicago! On June 27, we gathered with local content creators at Cafe Baba-Reeba, a chic tapas bar in Chicago’s thriving Lincoln Park neighborhood, for an evening of mingling, networking, food, and fun. This in-person regional event was designed to foster connections within the influencer community, providing a unique opportunity for Mavely influencers and local creators to meet, share experiences, and inspire each other.

The Event: A Night to Remember

The evening kicked off with a casual mingling session, allowing attendees to relax, enjoy some delicious tapas, and get to know one another in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The excitement in the room was palpable as influencers from various niches gathered to share their stories and exchange ideas.

One of the highlights of the evening was the “Influencer Speed Dating” session. This fun and dynamic activity featured six rounds, each lasting a few minutes. Influencers rotated and chatted with new people every round, answering thought-provoking questions designed to spark meaningful conversations. Some of the questions included:

• What do you think is a common misconception about being an influencer?
• If you could instantly become an expert in anything, what would it be?
• Do you have any upcoming projects or collaborations you’re excited about?
• How do you balance work and your personal life?
• What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?

These questions provided a great way to break the ice and dive into deeper discussions about the influencer lifestyle. Many attendees remarked on how refreshing it was to talk to people they might not have met otherwise, creating new connections and potential collaborations.

Building Community and Connections

A number of influencers shared their Mavely meetup experience via TikTok reels and Instagram stories. The event was a testament to the power of bringing people together in real life, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.

As a token of our appreciation, each attendee received a gift bag filled with goodies from our generous brand partners. These gifts were a hit, adding an extra touch of excitement to the evening and showcasing some of the fantastic brands we love to support.
